Have you ever been in a situation where you don’t remember the other person you just met or about to meet who is coming to greet you in the local gathering? Or do you keep forgetting every morning where you keep your belongings the previous night? As we tend to age its common to start losing our memory power but its something serious when this occurs in early years of our lives. But these days with our over dependence on technology, its not only making us lazier but also effecting our brain health. But by following some ways we can delay the aging effects on our brain making it to function normally, if not more effectively than before.
4 Ways to Improve your Brain Health
Lets take a look at some of the ways to improve our Brain Health!
Physical Exercise
We all know the benefits of regular physical exercise. It not only helps us to stay fit but also boosts our brain health by releasing feel good harmones, helps us in staying more focused and also activate the neurons present in the brain which tend to decrease by 10-15% from 25-50 years of age. So make it a habit of doing regular exercise at least one hour per day. Rather I would say make it your lifestyle. How? Stick to FitArena!

Learn a new Language
Learning a new language is said to improve our creative skills and clarity of expression. Since learning new language requires some effort, you engage your brain muscles there by making them active again. It also helps you you understand the other speaker as well. I am personally interested in Mythological books. Since most of the mythology books are in Sanskrit, I started learning that language. That way I am learning a new language and also pursuing my interests.
Read books with many characters
We all know the advantages of reading books or reading in general. But when you read a book or series of books it improves your imaginative powers and also sharpen your grey cells. You need to pay lot more attention than usual as there will be lots of characters involved. Even a single character is missed, the flow will breakdown and you gotta start from scratch again. I read so many such books but some of my favorites are Harry potter and Shiva Trilogy.
Solve Puzzles
Like I said before we are so dependent on technology that we almost stopped hand/mind calculations. Like every other part in the body, even our brain needs some exercise and solving puzzles is one of the best ways to work your brain muscles. You don’t have to finish the puzzle book that you bought in the cross word recently in a single day. Whenever you take breaks(you need to) from your work, just try to solve 2-3 puzzles. If it a sudoku, then solve one and get back to your work. Over a period of time, you will see that you are finishing more work in less time. Sounds great right? Follow this regularly and even ask small children to start solving puzzles.
Additional Ways:
- Have a healthy and balanced diet
- Learn to meditate at least for five minutes everyday
- Do one thing at a time
- Massage your scalp with coconut oil every alternate day
- Get enough sleep
Now that you know different ways, what are you waiting for? Go on and implement these and make your Brain Sharper and Healthier.
